Tell us about the evenings' entertainment: We had a wonderful evening at my daughter's wedding with lots of laughter and fun. The Stompin Hooley band are great at getting people to join in, but those who don't enter into the fun still enjoy watching and listening to the music. Everyone had a fantastic evening.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment: It was a brilliant evening at Bradfield Village Hall on Friday. Many of the guests were from overseas and had never been to a Ceilidh before, but they all joined in with gusto and a great time was had by all. We really appreciated the part the band played in making Hannh and Mario's Wedding day very special for them.
Would you recommend the band to others: Yes- we have had lots of 'thanks yous' from our guests who all agreed the music and dancing was brilliant.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment: For our wedding we knew we wanted a Ceilidh Band with humour and style. And boy 'The Stompin' Hooley Band' has bags of both. The boys were absolutely amazing. Not only was it no trouble at all organising them to come (they even rang the venue themselves to arrange everything!), but on the night we couldn't have asked for more. They were BRILLIANT. All of our guests- from 2 to 82- were up and dancing. And we have never laughed so hard- thank you so much for making it an evening to remember.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment: The band were great - they interacted very well with the guests and were good at finding a happy medium between giving instructions and letting everyone have a go. The music was played really well and the caller had a good rapport with the guests and a good sense of humour! We only got to dance 3 dances (too many guests to talk to!) but lots of people have said what a fun time they had dancing and one friend (who has been to many ceilidhs) said that the band were one of the best he had been to. The dances we did were enjoyable and the steps were varied. People were saying to me "when are the band coming back? I want to dance more!" when the band went for their break so all in all a big success!
Would you recommend the band to others: Definitely. Thank you so much for a memorable ceilidh and wedding reception.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment:I booked a Ceilidh band for my party as we had one for our wedding and everyone had enjoyed it then. It is also the only type of music that my husband will actually dance to. It was a great evening and the band were excellent. The demonstrations were good but I still managed to get completely lost. I didn't understand why I was still stripping the willow when everyone else had made their arch.
Other Comments: My children were the only children at the party and the band were particularly good with my 5 year old. I had warned her that she wouldn't be able to do the dances as they would be too complicated. She did every dance and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Occasion:'Follow That Fire Engine' fundraiser
Tell us about the evenings' entertainment:So it was “take your partner” time as The Stompin’ Hooley Band livened things up with some rootin’ tootin’ tunes. All generations took to the floor, and before long were expertly (?!) dosey-doeing, promenading and stripping willows round the hall. I challenge anyone to attend a hoe-down and not look like a smiling maniac. The enthusiasm and laugher that ensued was infectious. Everyone got involved, and the evening was a huge success because of it.
.....this morning my cheeks still hurt from laughing so much.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment:The reception was an evening event in a barn following on from a childrens party in the afternoon. The band managed to get both young and old on the dance floor even though some of the adults had been running around for 7 hours towards the end of the evening. The dances were fun, involved everyone and provided a great way to get all the different groups at a wedding to mingle.
Other Comments:We found the band via the internet and booked them based on the all the glowing reviews. They were great! I would recommend them to anyone wanting to add life to their party.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment:We had and amazing evening on our ruby wedding and the Stompin Hooley Band were just so wonderful at getting us all up dancing. The humourous quips kept coming thick and fast to relax the guests and get them to let their hair down. The rest intervals when the band played their jazzy folk were equally entertaining. The whole band were very flexible and accommodating,making the evening a resounding success with all the family and our friends.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment: A fantastic time was had by all. We found the band on the internet and decided to book them because of the name and the fact that their diary was very full. That was a lucky find because the band were fantastic and the caller and the demonstrations were excellent. Everyone got up to dance and even the kids were able to join in, probably dancing better than the adults. We would recommend the Stompin Hooley Band 100% as all our guests have since come back to us and said what a great time they had and they hadn't laughed so much in ages.

Tell us about the evenings' entertainment: There was a big mixture of ages but the band were absolutely wonderful at including everyone. The range of dances meant that even those with disabilites were also able to join in almost all the dances. All my family and friends were really impressed and many of the youngsters had never been to a barn dance before but intend to hold one for their own special birthday.
Other Comments: I would like to thank all the band most sincerely for making my birthday such a success. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by everyone. Long may the band continue with ever increasing success.
